Where the unit goes

Orlando units go on private land, generally in driveways, lots or fenced yards. The truck needs firm access within hose reach.

A unit in the street, on a sidewalk or in the right-of-way needs an Orlando right-of-way permit. See permits.

Permits and rules

Permits and city rules

Orlando's right-of-way permit takes about two business days to process, with plan review within ten business days. The city's pages do not say whether a portable toilet counts, so confirm before you book.

FAQs

Common questions

Orlando callers' most frequent questions, sorted from calls and order notes.

Do I need a permit for a porta potty?

Not on private property. Work in the street, under the sidewalk or in the grass strip beside the street needs an Orlando right-of-way permit, and the city's page does not say whether a portable toilet counts, so call the Permitting Services Division at 407.246.2271 or email ROWteam@orlando.gov before placing one there. A toilet on a private construction site is covered by the Florida rule that requires restrooms during construction, and the porta potty company holds the state service permit.

How do I schedule a pickup?

Dial (407) 710-1279 with the removal date and we set the pickup. A pickup we miss gets chased with the hauler that very day.

How does billing work?

Orlando rentals are billed in 28-day periods at the quoted rate for as long as the project lasts. Net 30 terms are available for qualified contractor accounts. Orlando quotes list taxes and any extra service on their own lines.

How fast can you deliver a porta potty?

Orlando orders landed within a day of booking on 63% of jobs last year. Orlando events on a set date need several days of notice.

How far ahead should I book for an event?

Orlando renters often book at the last minute: half a day or less ahead, a quarter four or more days out. For November, May or October weekends, or Halloween Horror Nights, book two weeks ahead.

Can I put a porta potty on my driveway?

Often, yes. Orlando homes commonly use a side yard or the front drive. The truck must reach the unit from your own drive, so tell us about tight access, slopes and drainage when you order.

How often do you service the units?

Orlando units see a weekly visit for pumping, cleaning and restocking. Orlando crews needing extra visits can add a second weekly stop.

Do you service on weekends?

Yes, for an extra charge. Orlando renters can add weekend visits at order time, and the price shows on the quote.

Do porta potties work in winter?

Freezes are rare in Orlando, with about 2 nights a year at or below freezing. Flag any unit that will stay out in January so we can schedule a check.
